‘Mortal Kombat 12’ Arrives ‘In Due Time’ as 30th Anniversary Takes Priority

Mortal Kombat co-creator Ed Boon has told fans that the new Mortal Kombat The game will be announced “in due time” as the company focuses on the ongoing 30th anniversary.

taking to Twitter, wrote: “PSA/FYI We know many of you are excited about the upcoming game announcement from NetherRealm Studios and it will happen in due time. But first all about 30 years of Mortal Kombat. That’s what we’re going to celebrate and what we’re going to focus on.”

“Our next game announcement will be standalone from MK30,” he added.

Rumors about the 2019 follow-up mortal kombat 11 have abounded this year, with Boon forced to deny that a new trailer would be coming at EVO 2022. Street Fighter and other fantastic fighting games to be in the sun! Let’s enjoy it,” Boon said at the time.

Both Andersen’s tweet and Cage’s video were quickly deleted following rumors about mortal kombat 12 began to spread.

The acclaimed video game creator shared a profile photo along with branding from his own studio Kojima Productions and also shared a riddle that reads, “The answer to ‘WHO’ in TGS will be in the next ‘WHERE.'”
