Anna Megill, narrative protagonist of the next Fable game, has announced that it is leaving Leamington Spa-based developer Playground Games.
“In August, I will be leaving my role as narrative leader in Fable. I spent several wonderful years doodling in my fairytale country house, but it seems the time is right for new challenges,” Megill said in a statement. cheep Posted on July 14.

Megill, whose select credits include Avatar: Borders of Pandora, Murdered: Soul Suspect and Guild Wars 2won a Writer’s Guild of America Award for her writing on Dishonored: Death of the Outsider and was the narrative lead of Remedy Entertainment’s Control. He also wrote two books this year: The game writing guide and The pocket mentor for game writers.
As a result, his decision to leave his position at Playground Games is to ensure “some time off to rest from a tremendously busy year.” However, due to a minimum of speculation from Fable fans, she confirmed that she has “nothing but love and respect for Playground and my colleagues there.”
In June, Fable got a new cinematic trailer starring British actor and filmmaker Richard Ayoade as a giant who was flustered by the antics of the heroes in Albion. There’s no word yet on when the game will release, as Playground Games has apparently settled for the “less is more” approach when it comes to showing off its latest progress.
