Dead Space has never looked better than in the 2023 remake, and if you roll over the credits and find yourself wanting to see more, you can do it again with New Game Plus, which comes with several bonuses and exclusive unlocks. . Finishing the story in New Game Plus will even grant you a related Achievement/Trophy, and you can also unlock a secret ending to your issue. Here’s what you need to know about the mode.
Once you finish the last of the chapters of the new version of Dead Space, you will have the opportunity to play again in the New Game Plus mode. This mode not only allows you to transfer all previously earned weapons, upgrades, outfits, and credits, but also grants you a host of other rewards to tempt you to try again aboard the USG Ishimura. You can get your previous unlocks at any shop kiosk in the game. Keep in mind, though, that kinesis and stasis are unlocked as part of the story, so they’ll need to be earned again at those same points, even in New Game Plus.
This is what you unlock before starting the New Game Plus mode:
- 50,000 credits
- 10 power nodes
- New text records
- Advanced RIG Soldier (Level 6 Suit)
Because there are so many weapons to upgrade, you can’t actually upgrade them all in a single match, so starting New Game Plus with all the previous upgrades unlocked is a great boost as it allows you to work on upgrading other weapons.
Dead Space secret ending
The secret ending in the Dead Space remake can only be found by playing New Game Plus mode and finding 12 Master Fragments. We’re still actively looking for them, they seem to be wrapped up with some truly cryptic text logs, as seen above, though we won’t spoil the secret ending here anyway. On your travels, also look for the new “Ghost Variant” versions of the Necromorphs. *Drink*
